With a weekend of wet weather in the forecast, some east-end residents had expressed worries the planned service interruption would affect pumps and lead to water damage on their properties, explained Daniele Gauvin, spokesperson for Hydro One, in a statement. "Hydro One is sensitive to these concerns, and we are advising all households that were to be affected of the change in plans directly," she said.

The Sunday, April 5 service interruption was initially scheduled from 1:30 to 7:00 a.m., affecting 1,000 customers in Navan Village south to Bear Brook Creek and east to Heuvelmans Road, Navan Road to Mer Bleue Road and north on Tenth Line Road. According to Hydro One, the outage was intended to accommodate work on an Ontario-to-Quebec transmission line.

The power interruption will be rescheduled for April 19 or later with up-to-date information expected in coming days, Gauvin continued, following consultation with project partners. For further information, please visit www.HydroOneNetworks.com or call 1-800-434-1235.
