A local community association is looking for a name for its new meeting place.
Portobello South Community Development Association (PSCDA) launched a contest to find a name to the new community hall being built at the corner of Aquaview Drive and Blackburn Bypass. As of now, the building is simply known as Aquaview Community Hall, due to the name of the park located next to it.
The community association is asking residents to vote for the original name or make new suggestions. Everyone who registers on the website before Wednesday, May 26 will be entered to win a family pass (two adults and two children) for the new Calypso Water Park in Limoges.
The winner will be announced at the ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for May 29 along with the chosen name.
The City of Ottawa will make the final call regarding the name decision.
