Free Community Summer Playgroup
Everyone is welcome to join the Abiding Word Lutheran Church at 1575 Belcourt Blvd. in Orléans, for a FREE playgroup for children ages 0 – 5. It runs weekly on Wednesday mornings from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. between July 11 – August 22. Each week your child will participate in fun, Christian based activities such as story time, crafts and more! Enjoy meeting other parents in your community in a relaxing environment over the summer. Annual community corn roast
MPP Phil McNeely invites you to join him at his Annual Community Corn Roast and BBQ. The event will take place at Petrie Island on Thursday, July 26 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. There will be children's activities, and fun for the whole family to enjoy.
Colonel By Day at the Bytown Museum
The Ottawa Branch of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society will be demonstrating Scottish Country Dancing on Colonel By Day, August 6, at 12 noon and 1.00 p.m. down below the Bytown Museum on the grass. Volunteers needed at Madonna nursing home in Orleans
Residents need assistance with feeding, primarily at dinnertime. Also, friendly faces are needed to take residents for walks or activities held at Madonna. Or, just to engage an isolated resident in conversation. This does not require more than a couple hours a week but will make a great difference in a resident’s life.
