Lacroix golf tourney attracts big names

Andre Lacroix's annual charity golf tournament took place on June 25 at Outaouais Golf Club in Rockland.

The long-running tourney acts as a fundraiser for the Shoot for a Cure campaign that targets spinal cord research.

The June 25 event also provides financial support to a few amateur athletes such as Orléans’ Kevin Frost, who hopes to reach the Paralympic Games in rowing or speedskating and will put his money towards athletic costs.

East-end hockey stars such as Claude Giroux and Shawn Lalonde took part in the event.
