Blues event raises hundreds for CHEO

Despite a slow start for ticket sales, the first Blues at the Brewpub Dinner and Show raised over $400 for the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario.

The even, held at the Draft Horse/O’Meara’s in Navan Satruday, Nov. 29, was a success thanks to strong last minute ticket sales.

Close to 100 people attended and, while most were from Navan and the Ottawa area, visitors ventured form as far away as Kingston, Arnprior, Carleton Place and even Maniwaki.

David Rotundo and his band from Toronto rocked the night with smoking harmonica and guitar blues.

In total, $425 was raised for CHEO.
