After becoming the east conference champs, the Devils went on to defeat rival team the Bull Dogs in a 5-2 victory to secure the Ottawa Senior Men's Hockey League's (OSMHL) top spot.

"It's just summer hockey and we should just play for fun, but we keep it competitive," said captain Shane Bakker. "Nothing feels better than winning and we are winners."

Missing from the photo, and from the final game, were Ben Shutron - who has previously been drafted to the NHL - and Jason Akeson who has already returned to Philadelphia to try and secure a spot on the Flyer's roster for the 2013-2014 season.
