Extra one-day flu shot clinic for east
The city has added an additional one-day flu shot clinic for Orléans.
Residents in the east end can now get a flu shot close to home both today and tomorrow with two roving clinics in Orléans.
The fixed-site locations were closed as of Sunday, Dec. 13 due to decreased demand. Despite the closure of the fixed-site clinics, the city will operate a reduced number of clinics to provide residents with both the H1N1 and seasonal flu shots starting today.
The first east-end roving clinic will open from 2:30-8:30 p.m. at the Orléans Client Service Centre today, Monday Dec. 14.
The additional clinic will be held Tuesday, Dec. 15 at Sir Wilfrid Laurier Secondary School, 1515 Tenth Line Rd. from 2:30-8:30 p.m.
Wristbands are no longer required at flu shot clinics; however, the wristbands may be re-employed at those clinics experiencing high volumes.
Both the H1N1 and seasonal flu vaccines are available at the clinics.
