Crash backs up lunch hour rush on Canotek
A car crash left traffic backed up in front of Ottawa’s only open DriveTest centre Thursday afternoon.
At least one person was taken to hospital by ambulance.
Police, firefighters and paramedics blocked off the Canotek Road entrance to the strip mall housing the DriveTest centre around noon on Thursday, Nov. 26. While those waiting in line to get their license looked on, emergency personnel removed a single occupant from a small, white sedan that blocked the entrance to the mall.
It is unclear what caused the collision.
The area was cleared away by about 12:30 p.m.
