There will be over 100 extra spaces for east-end OC Transpo users to park in next week.
On Monday, Nov. 30 the city will open the new Millennium Park & Ride location on Millennium Boulevard near Innes and Trim. The lot will have 168 spaces, with up to 574 spaces in the future. The lot will be served by routes 22, 94 and 122.
Meanwhile, OC Transpo will be switching to its winter schedule this weekend.
On Saturday, Nov. 28 OC Transpo will introduce new winter schedules along with several route changes.
In Blackburn Hamlet, two new rush hour trips will be added to route 128 and some trips will be extended from Innes and Tauvette to Southpark and Innes for improved afternoon rush hour service.
An additional trip will be added to route 35 in the morning, and trips on route 94 that currently end at Innes and Trim will be extended to the Millennium Park & Ride to improve connections and reduce walking distances for customers.
